Our First Constable Walk on 10 June 2012
"A Good Walk Unspoiled"
and we raise money for many charities for and good causes at the
same time!

described golf as "a good walk spoiled". Well on 10 June
this year 50 walkers took "a good walk unspoiled"
Not a golfer in sight! They were taking part in our all-new
sponsored walk we call "Constable Walk".
The walk comprises a seven mile round trip to Flatford and Dedham
and back on public footpaths starting and finishing at Manningtree Railway
Station".
The weather was fine for the seven-mile round-trip. This is a wonderful walk across the
Area of Outstanding
Natural Beauty on the Essex Suffolk Border often beautifully
captured in the work of artist John Constable.

This is Rotarian John Bishop who took part in the walk raising
funds for the "Whiz Kidz" charity.

indly donated by Water Direct but many walkers stopped
off at the National Trust cafe at Flatford Mill and others had lunch
in one of the delightful pubs in the historic and picturesque
town of Dedham.
