Mark Twain described golf as "a good walk spoiled". Well on 10 June this year 50 walkers took "a good walk unspoiled"
Not a golfer in sight! They were taking part in our  all-new sponsored walk we call "Constable Walk".
The walk comprises a seven mile round trip to Flatford and Dedham and back on public footpaths starting and finishing at Manningtree Railway Station".

The weather was fine for the seven-mile round-trip. This is a wonderful walk across the
Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty on the Essex Suffolk Border often beautifully captured in the work of artist John Constable.

Volunteers from the Rotary Club manned two water stations with bottles k
This is Rotarian John Bishop who took part in the walk raising funds for the "Whiz Kidz" charity.
