What We Do

We hold fund-raising events

Sponsored events such as the “Mayflower Walk”.

Street collections (e.g. our “Guy Fawkes” appeal and our famous Christmas float” around the neighbourhood).

Quiz nights with supper (open to all).

Table-top sales, Tee-shirt sales, raffles, auctions etc.
We “organise and mobilise”

Regular “business meetings” where we discuss what we have done, what we do next and what we are going to do with the money we raise.

“Committee meetings” : With so many different activities there is a lot of organising to do!

Spending! As well as fund-raising for charities we also raise money to spend on local good causes such as swings for a children’s area, the Town clock, the “Manningtree Ox”, school dictionaries, etc.
 “Community Events”

We organise youth events (e.g. the “Young Musician of the year” competition).

The annual “Magic of Christmas Music” concert.

Senior Citizens' entertainment evening.

Yes, we like to enjoy ourselves!
