What We Do
We raise money and help others in the community, and
overseas.
“Service above self” is our motto and we have fun and enjoyment
doing it!
This is the motto of Rotary
Manningtree Clock Tee Shirts spotted on holiday at
Market Harborough!

We snapped Clacton Rotarian Brian Henesy with wife Angela
wearing our T-Shirts whilst on their Boating Holiday. Well Done
both!
We hold fund-raising events
Sponsored events such as the “
Mayflower Walk”.
Street collections (e.g. our “
Guy Fawkes” appeal and our famous
Christmas float” around the neighbourhood).
Quiz nights with supper (open to all).
Table-top sales, Tee-shirt sales, raffles, auctions etc.
We “organise and mobilise”
Regular “business meetings” where we discuss what we have done, what
we do next and what we are going to do with the money we raise.
“Committee meetings” : With so many different activities there is a
lot of organising to do!
Spending! As well as fund-raising for charities we also raise money to spend on local good causes such as swings for a children’s
area, the
Town clock, the “
Manningtree Ox”,
school dictionaries,
etc.
Yes, we like to enjoy ourselves!
This page is under development.
Please bear with us!
